We thought it would be interesting to do something different for this post. To get a little personal – since our product is quite personal in nature. So today we’ve decided to introduce you to one of our key team members, Heart of Yemalla’s social media specialist, Addae Jordan. If you've kept up with us on Instagram or Facebook or Twitter, chances are you've seen some of her posts.
Addae's currently a music composition major at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and is a whirlwind of a woman. Here’s what she’s been up to outside of HOY…
From Addae Jordan:
On the 29th of October I went to an event, ‘The Ecstatic World of Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda’ and I believe it has helped fuel and push me more towards my higher self. It was such a beautiful experience and it was so hard for me to keep it together. I even met Michelle Coltrane and when she first saw me she said I was cute :)! …and proceeded to speak Farsi to me when I told her I was studying daf. Ahhhhh how crazy is that? I had some super juicy and crazily stimulating conversations that day that I still think about and gush over.
I will be DJ-ing an art show in downtown LA and possibly performing live on December 9th! All are welcome and I will send address on request, ‘casue you don’t want to miss this funky African set.
Also I have been employed by CalArts as the KCIA lab technician or the Assistant Director of the KCIA studio. I’ve been running the studio by myself and now it has become my new home/office/music cave. I literally sit in the dark, colorfully lit studio and play Alice Coltrane’s World Spirituality Classics 1 album and watch live space videos. It helps put everything into perspective.
What I’m currently reading: ‘A Mammal's Notebook: The Writings of Erik Satie’ and ‘Deep work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World’
What I’ve been listening to: Radiohead's ‘King of Limbs”
Love and light to you all,
Addae
